当卸载车斗上升时，车斗降下或上升开关 (2) 用于限制最高档。 出厂时底盘 ECM 的最高档数值设置为第一档。 直到卸载车斗降下后，变速箱将不会换过第一档。 最高档数值可以通过利用电子控制分析程序装置（ECAP）或者电子技师（ET）编程。 最高档数值可改变为第二档、第三档和第四档。
来自车斗降下或上升开关 (2) 的信号也用于控制举倾控制阀的止住位置。 当降下的卸载车斗接近机架时，底盘 ECM 会向举倾比例电磁阀发送信号，以将举倾控制阀移动到止住位置。 浮动的速度在止住位置被降低，以阻止卸载车斗接触机架时过于猛烈。
车斗降下或上升开关 (2) 用于当卡车在卸载车斗上升的状态下移动时向操作员提供警告。
