The decel pedal and the front wheel assist are now optional features. On earlier machines, these features were standard. However, the default setting for these options still remain "INSTALLED".
If the machine controller is reflashed with new software, the controller is reset to the default setting. The default setting for the decel pedal will be "INSTALLED".
If the machine does not have the decel pedal option, make sure that the setting is changed to "UNINSTALLED". Performing the Propel EDC Forward and Propel EDC Reverse calibrations on a machine without a decel pedal and with the default setting as "INSTALLED", will not allow the machine to calibrate. The EMSIII monitoring system and/or ET will display an Operator Error fault. Also, there will be two active faults for the left and right decel pedals (CID 1725 FMI 03 and CMI 1726 FMI 03).
In order to change the setting, use the Configuration Tool to go to the settings in Group 1. Select "Decel Pedal". Change the setting to "UNINSTALLED". Then the ignition switch must be cycled from the OFF position to the ON position in order to store the new settings.
On AP-1000D and BG-260D Asphalt Pavers, the front wheel assist is also an option. The default setting is also "INSTALLED". If the machine is not equipped with front wheel assist, change the setting to "UNINSTALLED". Then the ignition switch must be cycled from the OFF position to the ON position in order to store the new settings.
