Removal Procedure

1. Release the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Tension - Check/Adjust".

2. Remove bolts (1) and two track shoes (2) that are directly above track carrier roller (3) .

3. Attach Tooling (A) to link assembly (4). Attach Tooling (B) to Tooling (A). Attach the other end of Tooling (B) to track (5). Use Tooling (A) in order to raise track (5) approximately 51 mm (2.0 inch) above track carrier roller (3) .

4. Attach a suitable lifting device to track carrier roller (3) and run the suitable lifting device between the track links. Remove bolts (6) and remove track roller cap (7) from each side of track carrier roller (3) .

5. Position track carrier roller (3) for better access. Remove the suitable lifting device and then attach the suitable lifting device to track carrier roller (3) in order to remove track carrier roller (3) from the machine.

1. Attach Tooling (A) to link assembly (4). Attach Tooling (B) to Tooling (A). Attach the other end of Tooling (B) to track (5). Use Tooling (A) in order to raise track (5) .

2. Attach a suitable lifting device to track carrier roller (3) in order to position track carrier roller (3) onto the machine. Remove the suitable lifting device from track carrier roller (3) .

3. Attach the suitable lifting device to track carrier roller (3) in order to run the suitable lifting device between the track links.

4. Position track carrier roller (3) onto bracket assemblies (8) .

5. Align the dowel in track roller caps (7) with the hole in the shaft of track carrier roller (3) .

6. Position track roller cap (7) on each side of track carrier roller (3). Position bolts (6) .

   Note: Tighten the bolt on the abutment side of track roller cap (7) first.

7. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 750 ± 70 N·m (550 ± 50 lb ft).

8. Remove the suitable lifting device from track carrier roller (3). Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) from the machine.

9. Position track shoes (2) over track carrier roller (3). Apply oil to the threads of bolts (1) and the washer faces. Install bolts (1) and the washers. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 650 ± 70 N·m (480 ± 50 lb ft). Tighten bolts (1) to an additional 120 ± 5 degrees.

10. Adjust the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Tension - Check/Adjust".
