Adjusting
The left mast must be kept perpendicular to the wheelbase when the AccuGrade System is in use on a Motor Grader.
If the left mast is not perpendicular to the wheelbase, the AccuGrade System will give incorrect cut/fill values and incorrect guidance.
The mast is tilted as the moldboard is rolled forward and backward for different grader applications. Change the bolt hole that is used on the angle bracket in order to keep the left mast perpendicular to the wheelbase.
Note: When you change the bolt hole on the mast for the GPS Receiver, always bolt your selected hole on the mast mount yoke into the rearmost hole on the mast mount base.
Use the "Adjust Bolt Hole" dialog in order to enter the bolt hole that is currently in use on the angle bracket. The AccuGrade System makes adjustments for blade pitch in order to provide accurate guidance.
Note: For accurate offline guidance make sure the left mast is perpendicular to the wheelbase.
The "Adjust Bolt Hole" dialog is available via the "Setup Menu" when a Motor Grader is configured. Whenever you change the bolt hole on the angle bracket you must change the bolt hole in the AccuGrade System.
Note: There are two bolt holes on the internal bracket, one of which is blanked off by a set screw during installation. This is to ensure that you use the same hole on the internal bracket when you are adjusting the mast as was used during the machine measure up. Do not remove the set screw. Make sure that the operator always uses the free hole to complete this procedure.
To set the bolt hole, complete the steps that are listed below:
- From the "Setup Menu - Configuration" dialog, press the down arrow or the up arrow in order to select the Adjust Bolt Hole option.
- Press "Enter". The Adjust Bolt Hole dialog appears:
