Start By:
- Remove the hook winch motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hook Winch Motor - Remove".
- Remove check valves (3) .

- Remove poppet (9), spring (10), piston (11), retainer (12), spring (13), and spring (14) .

- Use a depth gauge to measure the distance between the end of screw (30) and locknut (29). Record this measurement for assembly purposes.
- Remove locknut (29) and screw (30) .
- Remove plug (27) and the O-ring seal.
- Remove plug (28) and the O-ring seal.
- Remove barrel (31) .
