Improved Operation of Light Switch {1434, 1435, 7451}

Usage:

D5N AGG
Pipelayer:
561N (S/N: CPH1-UP)
Track-Type Tractor:
D5N (S/N: AKD1-UP; AGG1-UP)
D6N (S/N: AKM1-UP; ALR1-UP; ALY1-UP; ALH1-UP)

Description of Change: The light switch is a three-position switch that operates the floodlights, and instrument panel lights. The BOTTOM position de-energizes all lights. The MIDDLE position energizes the instrument panel lights. The TOP position energizes the instrument panel and the floodlights. When the machine is shut down during day time hours the instrument panel lights can be inadvertently left on. The position of the switch is not recognized by the operator and the batteries will discharge.

A change has been made to the function of the switch. The MIDDLE position will now illuminate the floodlights. The TOP position will still illuminate the instrument panel and the floodlights. This change will allow the operator to notice that the light switch is still energized, after exiting the machine.
