Machine circuit breaker panel (1) is located under the operator platform, behind the platform access ladder on the left hand side of the machine.
The circuit breaker panel contains the following auxiliary systems electrical components:
- Rotor service switch (2)
- Manual valves and pressure fan control circuit breaker (3)
- Circuit breaker for the cab switches (4)
- Machine ECM circuit breaker (5)
- Main circuit breaker (6)
Note: The operator platform access ladder can be swung away from the machine in order to gain unobstructed access to the circuit breaker panel.
The rotor service switch is a two-position toggle switch. The top position of the switch is the SERVICE position. The bottom position of the switch is the OPERATE position. Power from circuit breaker "13" is transferred to contact "2" of the switch. When the rotor service switch is in the SERVICE position, power transfers to the machine ECM and the rotor tilt lock solenoid.
When the key start switch is in the ON position the main power relay is energized and the gate of the relay closes.
Power transfers from the main circuit breaker to a power distribution bus bar which distributes power to the following circuit breakers:
- Manual valves
- Pressure fan control circuit breaker
- Cab switches breaker and the machine ECM breaker
Power transfers from the machine ECM circuit breaker to the following components:
- Rotor service switch
- Rear steering angle sensor
- Front steering angle sensor
- Rotor depth sensor
Power transfers from the cab switches circuit breaker to the following components:
- Rear steering mode switch
- Rear steering switch
- Rotor up/down switch
- Rotor depth switch
- Rotor mode switch
Power transfers from the manual valves and pressure fan control circuit breaker to the following components:
- Front door switch
- Rear door switch
- Rotor hood tilt switch
- Seat switch
Note: The seat switch transfers power to the cab slide switch from the manual valves and pressure fan control circuit breaker.
Machine ECM and Four Wheel Steering Control Module

(7) Machine ECM (8) Four wheel steering control module |
Machine ECM (7), and four wheel steering control module (8) are located at the front of the operator platform on the left side of the machine.
Note: The cab must be moved to the operator's far right or far left, and the service panel must be removed in order to access these components.

The ECM receives input signals from sensors which are located around the machine. These sensors monitor current operating conditions. System software compares the gathered inputs to information which is stored in the ECM's memory. Appropriate output signal are generated in order to control the machine functions.
The machine ECM has two 24-pin connectors.
The auxiliary systems control functions of the machine ECM can be divided into the following three groups:
- Steering control
- Rotor control
- Rotor depth control
The terminal receives power at terminal "A-1" and terminal "A-18". Terminal "A-6" and "A-23" are ground. Terminal "B-7" and "B-8" allow for information transfer between the ECM and the four wheel steering control module. Terminal "B-4", terminal "B-5", and terminal "B-6" allow for communication between the ECM and the front panel control display.
The machine ECM controls the rotor depth by monitoring the rotor height sensor (terminal "B-14"), and the rotor service switch (terminal "A-21"). Based on the input, the machine ECM generates appropriate output signals to the rotor raise (terminal "A-14") or rotor lower (terminal "A-13") solenoids.
The machine ECM monitors input signals from the front wheel position sensor (terminal "B-19") and the rear wheel position sensor (terminal "B-21"). The machine ECM analyzes the input signals and generates an appropriate output signal to the four wheel steering control module through the CAN lines.
Note: The following terminals are not used: "B-3", "B-9", "B-10", "B-15", "B-16" and "B17".
Illustration 4 | g01193480 |
The four wheel steering control module has an 18-pin connector. The module receives power from the four wheel steering and fan circuit breaker at terminal "A1". This control module is grounded at terminal "A3". The machine ECM transfers information to the four wheel steering control module through the CAN lines.
When the machine ECM determines that the tracking angle of the rear wheels should be changed, the machine ECM prompts the four wheel steering control module to generate an output signal from terminal "B1" or "B2".

Display control panel (9) is mounted to the instrument panel. The display control panel has 24-pin connector (10) and 40-pin connector (11).
Illustration 6 | g01193482 |
Terminal "10" of 40-pin connector (11) receives power from circuit breaker "CB13". The display control panel is grounded at terminal "9".
24-pin connector (10) of display control panel (9) receives input signals from the following components:
- Terminal "1" (rotor raise switch)
- Terminal "2" (rotor lower switch)
- Terminal "9" (rotor depth set switch)
40-pin connector (11) of display control panel (9) receives input signals from the following components:
- Terminal "5" (rear steering mode switch "0")
- Terminal "6" (rear steering mode switch "1")
- Terminal "7" (rear steering manual "left"
- Terminal "12" (rear steering manual "right"
- Terminal "17" (rotor travel mode)
- Terminal "26" (rotor auto mode)
- Terminal "27" (rear steering mode switch 2)
Display control panel (9) broadcasts input signals to the machine ECM over the CAN data link.
The CAN data link terminals for the display control panel are connected to the following terminals of the 40-pin connector:
- Terminal "30" (CAN Low)
- Terminal "19" (CAN High)
- Terminal "20" (CAN Shield)
