Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Position engine oil cooler (18) and install bolts (17). Install bracket (16). Install bolts (19) .

  1. Install bolts (15) .

  1. Position hose (13) and tighten clamps (14) .

  1. Connect hose (11). Install plug (12). Connect clip (10) .

  1. Install tube assembly (8). Connect hose assembly (9) .

  1. Position guard assembly (5) and clip (6). Install bolts (7) .

  1. Install hose (2) and elbow (3). Tighten clamps (1) and (4) .

  1. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".
