824H Wheel Dozer, 825H Soil Compactor and 826H Landfill Compactor Electrohydraulic System Caterpillar

This diagnostic code is recorded when the implement ECM determines that the harness code has been changed in the Caterpillar Monitoring System.

The harness code is stored by the Caterpillar Monitoring System. The harness code is used to identify the model of the machine. The harness code tells the following modules the physical limits of the machine: implement ECM, power train ECM and engine ECM.

The possible causes for this diagnostic code are listed:

• New software for the implement ECM has been installed.

• Wrong software for the Caterpillar Monitoring System has been installed.

• Settings of the configuration are reset to defaults.

• Settings of the user are reset to defaults.

Test Step 1. CLEAR THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE

1. After the harness code has been changed, the main module must be reset.

2. Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.

3. Turn the key start switch back to the ON position.

Results:

• YES - The original condition is no longer active. Stop.

• NO - The original condition is active.

  Repair: Recheck the system. Verify that the correct harness code has been entered in the monitoring system.

  Stop.
