(1) Extension of two bolts from the block ... 50 mm (2.0 inch)

(2) Torque for two nuts ... 680 N·m (500 lb ft)

Use the following procedure in order to assemble two cotter pins (3) :

1. After tightening the nuts (2) , insert the cotter pins in the slots.

2. If the cotter pins will not assemble, further tighten the nuts and insert the cotter pins in the next slots.

(4) Assembled length of the steering link ... 1500 ± 2 mm (59.1 ± 0.1 inch)

(5) Two clamps must be free to rotate on the tube.

(6) As required, use the following shims in order to obtain the end play of 0.076 to 0.330 mm (0.0030 to 0.0130 inch) between the front axle assembly and mounts:

Quantity ... 12

Thickness of one shim ... 0.08 mm (0.003 inch)

203-0255 Shim

Quantity ... 8

Thickness of one shim ... 0.13 mm (0.005 inch)

203-0256 Shim

Quantity ... 4

Thickness of one shim ... 0.51 mm (0.020 inch)

(7) Apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the outside diameter of four bushings.
