This document provides instructions for installing the 233-5706 233-5638 Work Tool Control and Wiring Kits . See Table 1 for the application of each kit.

Each kit consists of two electrical harnesses, a control handle, and other components that enable the control of solenoid valves within work tools.

1. Install fuse panel (7) next to the existing 221-3880 Fuse Panel Gp on the 225-5190 Bracket As . Secure the fuse panel with two washers (1) and two screws (10), as shown. See Illustration 3.

1. Route harness (9) from fuse panel (7) to the service opening in the left wall of the engine compartment. See Illustration 4.

2. Connect harness (9) per Table 2.

1. Install the DT connector for work tool harness (8) in the bracket on the left lift arm. Secure the DT connector with nut (5) and lock washer (6). See Illustration 6.

2. Thread work tool harness (8) inside the left lift arm and into the left tower. Pull the end of the harness through the service opening in the left tower and into the engine compartment. See Illustration 7 and Illustration 8.

3. Install the connector receptacle (11) on the end of harness (8). Install the eight wires per Table 3.

   Note: Install wedge in order to lock the pins in the receptacle.

1. Install relay (2) onto the relay panel that is located in the engine compartment. Secure the relay with bolt (14) and hard washer (15). See Illustration 10.

1. Remove the 246-9371 Relay Cover from position 1 for the 221-3880 Block .

   Then, install relay (4) in this position. See Illustration 11.

1. For auxiliary electrical control, install rocker switch (3) in the left control panel, as shown. See Illustration 12.

   Note: Rocker switch (3) is installed in connector CN-C5 of the 225-7999 Panel Harness As . See Table 5.

   Note: Be sure to install the 111-7899 Gasket that is provided with the rocker switch.

1. Replace the left control handle with the new control handle (16) .

   For basic instructions for replacing the control handle, refer to the disassembly and assembly procedures for the pilot operated hydraulic control that are provided in the Disassembly and Assembly Manual for your machine.

2. Connect the control handle harness connector to the 12-pin connector A-C3 on the lower platform harness.
