Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the combination valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Combination Valve - Remove".
2. Remove the drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

1. Drain the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.

2. Disconnect hose assembly (1) .

3. Disconnect hose assembly (2) .

4. Disconnect hose assembly (3) and position hose assembly (3) out of the way.

5. Remove tube assembly (4) .

6. Disconnect harness assembly (5) .

7. Remove bolt (9). Disconnect fitting (6) and (8). Remove air dryer (9) .

8. Loosen clamp (10) .

9. Disconnect hose (11) .

10. Disconnect hose assembly (12) and position hose assembly (12) out of the way.

11. Disconnect hose assembly (13) and position hose assembly (13) out of the way.

12. Disconnect hose assembly (14) and position hose assembly (14) out of the way.

13. Disconnect hose assembly (15) .

14. Remove bolts (16) and position elbow (17) out of the way.

15. Remove bolts (18). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the machine.

16. Slide pump assembly (19) to the rear of the machine.

17. Remove bolts (20) .

18. Use two people and remove pump assembly (19). The weight of pump assembly (19) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).
