转向泵为齿轮泵。 此泵也称为充油泵。 转向泵安装在发动机附件驱动上。 泵沿顺时针方向转动。 液压油箱 (A) 向泵提供液压油。 转向泵向转向系统 (C) 和风扇马达 (B) 供油。 优先阀 (1) 位于泵内。 优先阀是一个压力补偿流量分配器。 优先阀 (1) 在转向回路和风扇马达之间分配流量。 转向回路具有优先权。 来自转向回路和风扇马达的回油是振动回路和推进回路的充油。
来自转向泵齿轮的输出油将作用在优先阀 (1) 的下端。 油经过优先阀中的节流孔 (2) 向滑阀端部提供压力。 油压将迫使优先阀滑阀 (1) 向上移动，以允许油流向风扇马达。
在节流孔 (3) 保持优先阀滑阀上的压力的同时，油道 (D) 作为机油冲洗油道，向优先阀滑阀底部施加压力。 操作期间，优先阀滑阀 (1) 摆动。
