Speed Limiting Function

The function for the speed limiting will set the maximum ground speed for a machine that is operating on a level surface. The software for the speed limiting allows the ECM to monitor the machine's engine speed, ground speed, and acceleration. The ECM uses the inputs in order to set the transmission requested engine speed limit.
The value for the speed limit is set in the software, and the value cannot be changed by the machine owner or the operator. The function for the speed limiting can be enabled or disabled with a factory password.
Note: When the machine is moving downhill, the function for speed limiting does NOT provide downshifting or braking in order to prevent the machine from exceeding the set speed limit.
