Usage:

Removal and Installation


PREPARING TO REMOVE THE VENTED REAR COVER
1. Rear cover. 2. Screws (six).

NOTE: Insert a strip of cardboard or wood under the rotating field to prevent damage to either the rotating field or the stator when the generator cover is removed.


PREPARING TO REMOVE THE GENERATOR COVER
3. Bolts (six). 4. Bolts (four).

Use two 3/8"-16 NC forcing bolts (6) in the threaded holes in cover (5) to push the cover from the generator.


GENERATOR COVER REMOVAL
5. Cover. 6. Forcing bolts (two).


GENERATOR WITH COVERS REMOVED
7. Bearing retainer and brush yoke. 8. Brushes (four). 9. Field supply wires (two). 10. Brush holders (two).

Install cover (5). Secure bearing retainer and brush yoke (7) to the cover and install brushes (8) in their proper slots in brush holders (10). Position the brush springs correctly so they do not rub the wires on the brushes.

Lubricate the bearing according to the Operation and Maintenance Instructions.
