Cracks may occur in 6V2156, 5P9736, 6V2157 and 9U6502 Link Brackets used on lifting devises. All 6V2156, 5P9736, 6V2157 and 9U6502 Link Brackets are to be removed from the dealer's new parts inventory. Do NOT destroy any of them, but instead return all of them to Caterpillar, per the return instructions on page 2.
Action Required
Return all 6V2156, 5P9736, 6V2157 and 9U6502 Link Brackets from the dealer's inventory to Caterpillar, Inc. Do NOT destroy any of them, but instead return all of them to Caterpillar, Inc. The old link brackets have been replaced with new parts as follows:
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 6V2156, 5P9736, 6V2157 and 9U6502 Link Brackets removed from Parts Stock.
Parts Disposition
Using the most economical method, return all 6V2156, 5P9736, 6V2157 and 9U6502 Link Brackets that are removed from Parts Stock and a copy of the claim to:
