NOTE: This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS0960" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The purpose of this program is to provide support for G3500 EIS Engine harness failures that occur within 12 to 24 months of operation. Proper diagnosis identifying a failed harness is required to approve processing of a claim. Therefore, the harness must be returned for a complete failure analysis prior to approval of a claim.

Action Required
Troubleshoot to identify the engine harness as the failed component, then a serviceable engine harness should be ordered as indicated in the following table.
A 1312217 Parts Kit is required if your engine serial number is between 9TG12-33, 5JD12-19, 7NJ12-81, 8LD12-27, AND 4EK12-410.
Follow Special Instruction SEHS9954, which gives full details on how to replace your existing engine harness with a serviceable engine harness.
Service Claim Allowances
NOTE: This is a 4-hour job.
Parts Disposition
The failed harness must be returned to Caterpillar Gas Engine Customer Service for a complete failure analysis.Provide the engine serial number, engine harness hours, dealer contact, and a complete summary of the suspected failure mode based on the troubleshooting efforts.Any harness that successfully passes a functional test will be returned to the servicing dealer and the claim will not be approved.Return the failed engine harness to:
