Electronic Control Module (Engine) - Remove and Install

Usage:

3512C LL9

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


    Note: If the electronic control module (ECM) is being replaced, download the personality module before you remove the ECM. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Replacing the ECM".

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal at the battery.

  2. Disconnect harness assembly (1).

  3. Remove bolts (2), electronic control module (3), and the ground strap.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install electronic control module (3) in the reverse order of removal.
