Before Starting Engine
Inspect the engine for potential hazards.
Walk around the generator set before the engine is started. Visually inspect all sides of the generator set and inspect the area around the cooling fan. Ensure that the area around the generator set is free of personnel and obstructions. Ensure that the area around the cooling fan is free of personnel and obstructions.
Ensure that the generator set is equipped with a lighting system that is suitable for the conditions. Ensure that all lights work properly.
