Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the fuel filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter Base - Remove and Install".

Note: The fuel filter base should be removed only if it is necessary in order to remove the front cover. Some engine arrangements do not require the removal of the fuel filter base.

1. Remove ten bolts (1). Remove nut (3).

2. Remove nut (4) and the washer.

3. Remove cover (2) and the gasket.
