Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the bulldozer control valve.

Note: The disassembly and assembly procedure is similar for the two-stem control valve, the three-stem control valve, and the four-stem control valve. Only the three-stem bulldozer control valve is shown.

1. Remove three nuts (2) and cover (1) .

2. Separate valves (5), (6), and (8), and manifold (7). Remove O-Ring seals (4) and shims (9) between each of the valves and the manifold. Remove studs (3) .

3. Disassemble valve (5) in the following manner:

   NOTICE
   Do not mix any of the components between the valve groups. Keep each valve group and the components for the valve separate from the other valves.

   1. Remove plug (10), valve (11), and springs (12) and (13) from valve body (14) .

   2. Remove bolts (15), retainer (17), guard (16), and filter (18) from valve body (14) .

   3. Remove two bolts (19) and housing (20) .

   4. Remove spool assembly (21) from valve body (14) .

   5. Compress spring (25) and remove bolt (22) and spacer (23). Remove retainer (24), spring (25), and retainer (26) from spool (27) .

   6. Remove valve (30) from valve body (14). Remove the three O-Ring seals from valve (30) .

   7. Remove seat (28) and ball (29). Remove the O-Ring seal from the seat.

   8. Remove relief valves (31) from valve body (14) .

   9. If necessary, remove the seal from each of valve body (14) .

4. Disassemble valve (6) in the following manner:

   1. Remove plug (32), valve (34), and springs (35) and (36) from valve body (37). Remove O-Ring seal (33) from plug (32) .

   2. Remove bolts (38), retainer (40), guard (39), and filter (41) from valve body (37) .

   3. Remove two bolts (44) and housing (43) .

   4. Remove spool assembly (42) from valve body (37) .

   5. Compress spring (48) and remove bolt (45), and spacer (46). Remove retainer (47), spring (48), and retainer (49) from spool (50) .

   6. Remove valve (53) from valve body (37). Remove the three O-Ring seals from the valve.

   7. Remove seat (51) and ball (52). Remove the O-Ring seal from the seat.

   8. If necessary, remove the seal from each end of valve body (37) .

5. Disassemble lift control valve (8) in the following manner:

   1. Remove plug (54), valve (55), and springs (56) and (57 ) from valve body (58). Remove the O-Ring seal from the plug.

   2. Remove relief valve (59) from valve body (58). Remove the O-Ring seals and the backup ring from the relief valve.

   3. Remove bolts (60), retainer (62), guard (61), and filter (63) from valve body (58) .

   4. Remove bolts (71) and cover (70) .

   5. Depress ball (68). Remove detent piston (66), six balls (69), ball (68), and spring (67) .

   6. Remove detent housing (65) and O-Ring seal (64) from valve body (58) .

   8. Compress spring (75) and remove shaft (78) .

   9. Remove retainer (77), spring (75), spacer (76), and retainer (74) from spool (73) .

   10. Remove valve (81) from valve body (58). Remove the O-Ring seals from the valve.

   11. Remove seat (79) and ball (80). Remove the O-Ring seals from the seat.

   12. If necessary, remove the seal from each end of valve body (58) .
