Resistor for controlling blower fan speed | |
Speed control (23) is mounted on the side of the heater/air conditioner unit.
Reference: Refer to Systems Operation, "Air Conditioning and Heating System Schematic" for the exact location of this controller.
The speed controller for blower fan speed is a resistor. This resistor regulates the amount of voltage that is supplied to the blower motor. A signal is initiated at the fan speed knob for Low, Medium or High fan speed. The appropriate signal is sent to the speed control. The speed control then sends the correct voltage to the blower motor. Table 1 shows the proper figures for resistance.
