Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment. |
- Install plunger (12), spring (11), seat (10), and retaining ring (9) into housing (13).

Illustration 2 g00905800 - Install the engine oil bypass valve (8). Install bolt (7).
- Install tube assembly (5) to engine oil bypass valve (8). Install bolt (6).
- Install socket head bolts (4).

Illustration 3 g00905801 - Install the oil suction screen and tube assembly (2). Install bolts (3) that hold the oil suction screen and tube assembly (2).
- Install the nut and bolt (1) on the bracket.

- Install the engine oil pan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pan - Remove and Install".
