液压油箱 (1) 设在驾驶室后面。 储油罐没有通气。 储油罐含有回流元件。 盖子松开时，压力就释放。 辅助转向吸油孔 (CC) 和机具吸油孔 (DD) 为油提供出口。 这些出口使油流向机具和转向泵和辅助转向泵。 壳体排放回流孔 (BB) 和机具回流孔 (AA) 把油汇集到歧管里。 歧管把油导入滤芯的底部再通到滤芯内。 滤芯设在油位的底部，以减少紊流。
如果滤芯充满杂质，油就无法通过滤芯。 流道的阻力使油压上升，以致打开旁通阀 (3) 。 压力达到 35 kPa (5 psi) 时，旁通阀就打开。 这样，油就直接流入液压油箱 (1) 。 当油绕过滤芯 (2) 时，油里所含的杂质会对其它系统部件造成损害。 必须采用正确的维修，确保滤芯不致堵塞，以使干净的油流不进液压系统里。
