Removal Procedure

To avoid personal injury from electrical shock, ensure that the negative battery cable is disconnected first. |

Note: Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes.
- Remove oil filter (2) in order to provide clearance for the removal of starter (1) .

- Remove nut (4). Disconnect the cables.

- Remove protective cover (3) .
- Remove nut (5) and disconnect the cables. Remove nut (6) and the cover.

- Remove nuts (7) and (8). Disconnect the cables.

- Remove bolts (9) from starter (1) .

- Use two person in order to remove electric starting motor (13). The weight of the starter is 32 kg (70 lb).
