Note: The following procedure uses plastic tubes to calibrate the diameter sensors. If plastic tubes are not available use a tree. The tree should be straight and the tree should be circular in the cross section. The tree should have a limited number of branches.
- Select five to ten tubes of various diameters. The tubes must be between the maximum diameter and the minimum diameter that is shown in Table 1. Tubes with a diameter over 150 mm (5.9 inch) must vary in diameter by at least 50 mm (2.0 inch). Tubes with a diameter under 150 mm (5.9 inch) must vary in diameter by at least 25 mm (1.0 inch). Measure the diameter and record the diameter of each tube.

- Tilt the harvester head into the VERTICAL position. Fully open the delimbing knives, feed rollers, and holding arm. Lower the harvester head to the ground. Stop the engine.
- Turn the engine start key to the ON position. In the operating mode, press the button on the right control lever in order to open the delimbing knives, feed rollers, and holding arm.
- Chain the frame of the harvester head to the yoke in order to prevent the harvester head from tilting. Remove the valve cover from the harvester head.
Note: The delimbing knives, feed rollers, and holding arm must be fully open before performing Step 5.
The harvester head frame may tip over when it is in the vertical position. Personal injury or death may result if this occurs. Secure the frame to the yoke with a chain or similar restraint prior to working on the harvester head. |
- In the operating mode, select "Show", "Settings", "Machine", and "Set Up Diameter". The display screen will show the following window.
- Enter the maximum diameter from Table 1 in "Diameter" box (1) .

(1) "Diameter". (2) "Address". (3) "Address". (4) "Diameter". (5) "Add". (6) "Delete". (7) "OK". (8) "Cancel". |
- Click "Add" (5) .
- Place the largest tube in the harvester head. Ensure that the tube is parallel to the harvester head. The top and the bottom of the tube must also be touching the guide rollers on the harvester head.

Stud for Delimbing Knives |
- Enter the diameter of the tube in "Diameter" box (1).
Note: Enter the diameter in millimeters.
- Move the wrench on the valve fully toward the harvester head. Manually open the delimbing knives. Repeat Steps 8 through Steps 11 for the remaining tubes. Use the second largest tube and work toward the smallest tube.
- When all tubes have been calibrated, enter the minimum diameter from Table 1 for the final diameter value.
- If any of the "Diameter " values (4) are incorrect, click the incorrect line in the table. Click "Delete" (6) .
- The calibration is complete. Press "OK" (7) in order to return to the main menu.
