Hood Tilt Actuator - Remove

Start By:

  1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Note: Put identification marks on all electrical connectors for installation purposes.

  1. Open the engine hood. The hood actuator is located on the right side of the machine.

  1. Remove plug (1) from the center of the engine hood.

  1. Install Tooling (A) in place of plug (1). Attach a suitable lifting sling to Tooling (A) in order to support the hood.

  1. Remove five bolts (2) and the washers. Remove cover (3) .

  1. Cut wire tie (4) .

  1. Disconnect electrical connector (5) .

  1. Remove nine bolts (6) and the washers.

  1. Remove step (7) .

  1. Remove pin (8) and the cotter pin which is not shown.

  1. Remove screws (9) and remove cover (10) .

  1. Remove bolt (11) and the washer.

  1. Remove hinge assembly (12) .

  1. Disconnect hood tilt actuator (13) from the hood.

  1. Remove hood actuator (14) .
