Description of Change: A new arc suppressor has replaced the former arc suppressor. The former arc suppressor allowed power to pass to the shutoff solenoid in the one of the following conditions:

• the 3E-5464 Thermostat Switch opens under normal conditions

• an open circuit occurs on circuit 522 for the air conditioner clutch and the thermostat switch.

Power will not pass through the new arc suppressor to pin 4 (308 YL wire). If the power is supplied to pin 4 (308 YL wire) and if the key switch is turned OFF, the engine will continue to run.

Adaptable To: The 200-1898 Arc Suppressor replaces the 172-9200 Arc Suppressor. The new diode is effective with the machines in Table 1.
