Description of Change: A new selector fork for the interaxle differential is now installed on the above listed machines. The new fork is made from improved material in order to increase service life. A new pressure control valve regulates the pressure of the oil supply to the interaxle differential lock. The new pressure control valve features a pressure relief valve in addition to the solenoid valve in order to reduce the load on the selector fork from the actuating oil.

The pressure control valve regulates the maximum pressure for the actuation of the selector fork to 1100 ± 50 kPa (160 ± 8 psi).

201-1520 Pressure Control Valve Gp on the D350E Series II

Adaptable To: The new 200-4012 Selector Fork and the new 201-1520 Pressure Control Valve Gp is effective with D350 Series II (S/N: 2XW450-UP).

The new 200-4012 Selector Fork and the new 201-1520 Pressure Control Valve Gp are adaptable to D350E Series II (S/N: 2XW1-449), D350E (S/N: 9LR1-UP) and D400E (S/N: 2YR1-UP).

Refer to Disassembly and Assembly in order to replace the 7U-4424 Selector Fork with 200-4012 Selector Fork .

The oil lines and the fittings for the 201-1520 Pressure Control Valve Gp are unchanged. The existing oil lines and fittings can be used.

On the D350E Series II, the new pressure control valve is mounted on the existing bracket in place of the existing solenoid valve.

On D350E and D400E Articulated Trucks, the solenoid valve for the interaxle differential is located on the inside of the left hand module. It is necessary to manufacture a mounting plate in order to correctly mount the new 201-1520 Pressure Control Valve Gp. Use the following procedure in order to manufacture a mounting plate.

  1. Attach two threaded bosses (1) that were manufactured in step 2 to plate (2) that was manufactured in step 1. Use three welds (3) with a length of 4 mm (0.1575 inch). Refer to Illustration 3.

  1. Allow the mounting plate to cool and paint the mounting plate.

  1. Remove the existing solenoid valve from the machine.

  1. Install mounting plate (4) to the bosses that mounted the existing solenoid valve. Use two 5M-3062 Bolts (5) and two 8T-4122 Hard Washers . Refer to Illustration 6. Install the plate with the welded bosses toward the front of the machine and toward the transmission.

  1. Install pressure control valve (6) to the mounting plate. Use the existing 8T-2501 Bolts (7) for the original solenoid valve.

  1. Remove the fittings from the original solenoid valve and inspect the condition of the fittings and the condition of the O-ring seals. Replace the fittings and replace the O-ring seals if it is necessary.

  1. Connect the lines to the pressure control valve in the same positions as the previous solenoid valve.
