( 1 ) Part of 4C-4892 ORFS Fittings Group

  1. Block the drive wheels in both directions.

  1. Assemble the 8T-0861 Pressure Gauge with the proper fittings from 4C-4892 ORFS Fittings Group .

    (2) Forward main relief valve test port

    (3) Forward multifunction valve

  1. Attach the pressure gauge to forward test port (2) .

  1. Set the load controller in the MANUAL position.

  1. Engage the parking brake.

  1. Start the engine and place the machine in fourth gear. Run the engine at high idle.

    Illustration 2g00762282

    (4) Electrical displacement control (EDC)

  1. Stroke the propel pump by moving the manual control lever on top of electrical displacement control (EDC) (4). Read the pressure gauge. The forward main relief valve setting should be 46195 ± 1380 kPa (6700 ± 200 psi).

  1. If the pressure reading for the forward main relief valve setting is not correct, adjustment is necessary. Slow the engine to low idle, and put the machine in neutral.

  1. Remove the plastic dust plug from forward multifunction valve (3). Insert a 5 mm internal hex wrench in the adjustment screw and loosen the locknut (smallest hex on the multifunction valve).

  1. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise in order to obtain the correct pressure reading.

Note: One turn of the adjustment screw changes the pressure reading by approximately 9300 kPa (1350 psi).

  1. After an adjustment has been made, repeat Step 8 and Step 9 in order to recheck the forward main relief valve pressure reading.

  1. When the correct pressure is obtained, slow the engine to low idle. Put the machine in neutral. Stop the engine.

  1. Remove the pressure gauge from test port (2) .

  1. Attach the pressure gauge to reverse test port (1) .

  1. Start the engine and place the machine in fourth gear. Run the engine at high idle.

  1. Stroke the propel pump by moving the manual control lever on top of electrical displacement control (EDC) (4). Read the pressure gauge. The reverse main relief valve setting should be 46195 ± 1380 kPa (6700 ± 200 psi).

  1. If the pressure reading for the reverse main relief valve setting is not correct, adjustment is necessary. Slow the engine to low idle, and put the machine in neutral.

    (5) Reverse multifunction valve

  1. Remove the plastic dust plug from reverse multifunction valve (5). Insert a 5 mm internal hex wrench in the adjustment screw and loosen the locknut (smallest hex on the multifunction valve).

  1. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise in order to obtain the correct pressure reading. One turn of the adjustment screw changes the pressure reading by approximately 9300 kPa (1350 psi).

  1. After an adjustment has been made, repeat Step 17 and Step 18 in order to recheck the reverse main relief valve pressure reading.

  1. When the correct pressure is obtained, slow the engine to low idle. Put the machine in neutral. Stop the engine.

  1. Remove the pressure gauge from reverse test port (1) .
