Track-Type Skidder:

527 (PIN: 2RS1-UP; 4NS1-UP)

517 (PIN: 5WW1-UP; 6PW1-UP)

Description of Change: A new 175-4008 Guard Assembly is now used on the 517 and 527 Track Skidders. The new guard assembly provides additional protection to the air conditioning condenser.

Adaptable To: The new 175-4008 Guard Assembly is effective with 527 (PIN: 2RS112-UP; 4NS298-UP) and 517 (PIN: 5WW242-UP; 6PW235-UP) Track Skidders. The new guard is adaptable to all earlier machines. The procedure for adapting earlier machines is outlined in Steps 1 through 5. The required parts are listed in the following table:

1. Drill three 13.8 mm (0.5433 inch) holes into 134-5235 Plate Assembly. Refer to locations (A) in Illustration 1.

2. Put three 1F-0750 Weld Nuts in position inside the holes. Weld the nuts in place.

3. Drill three 13.8 mm (0.5433 inch) holes into 133-6010 Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS). Refer to locations (B) in Illustration 2.

4. Put three 4D-7529 Bosses in position under the ROPS. Weld the bosses in place.

5. Put 175-4008 Guard Assembly (C) in position. Install six 5P-1075 Hard Washers (D) and six 4L-6454 Bolts (E) .
