(1) Torque for regulator valve (pressure) ... 64.5 ± 3.5 N·m (47.5 ± 2.5 lb ft)

(2) Torque for filter (oil) ... 30.5 ± 3.5 N·m (22.5 ± 2.5 lb ft)

(3) The Beleville spring assemblies are installed on the shafts for the forward clutch and the reverse clutch. Spring assemblies are also installed on the shafts for the second speed clutch, the third speed clutch, and the fourth speed clutch. The concave side of the first spring (disc) should be placed against the wear plate for the clutch piston. The four springs (discs) that remain are stacked alternately.

(4) These clutch packs consist of six clutch discs (steel) and six clutch discs (friction). The discs are alternately assembled starting with a steel disc against the clutch piston.

(5) These clutch packs consist of five clutch discs (steel) and five clutch discs (friction). The discs are alternately assembled starting with a steel disc against the clutch piston.

(6) Clearance between the clutch piston and the wear plate ... 1.98 ± 0.76 mm (0.08 ± 0.03 inch)

Note: If the clearance between the clutch piston and the wear plate is exceeded, install one additional clutch disc (steel) under the end plate.

(7) The bearing shield must face outward.

(8) The Beleville spring assembly is installed on the shaft for the first speed clutch. The concave side of the first spring (disc) should be placed against the wear plate for the clutch piston. The six springs (discs) that remain are stacked alternately.

(9) The clutch pack consists of ten clutch discs (steel) and ten clutch discs (friction). The discs are alternately assembled starting with a steel disc against the clutch piston.

(10) Clearance between the clutch piston and the wear plate ... 2.73 ± 0.70 mm (0.11 ± 0.03 inch)

Note: If the clearance between the clutch piston and the wear plate is exceeded, install one additional clutch disc (steel) under the end plate.
