The main control valves control the oil flow and the hydraulic pressure from the pumps to the actuators. This enables the actuators to operate in the correct direction and at optimum speed.
The main control valve consists of two separate valve banks. Valve bank (8) contains three separate valve assemblies. Valve bank (9) contains four separate valve assemblies.

(19) Return line. (20) Return line. (A) Front of the machine. (B) Back of the machine. |
162-0265 Main Control Valve (8) contains return port (19). 162-0266 Main Control Valve (9) contains return port (20). Return oil from the cylinders and the motors enters the main control valves. The oil then flows out of return ports and back to the hydraulic tank through the return lines.
Main Control Valve (three bank)
The main control valve (three bank) contains three valves that control the following functions:
- Grapple Rotate
- Tool Group
- Swing Rotation
The main control valve (three bank) also contains the main relief valve.
Main Control Valve (four bank)
The main control valve (four bank) contains four valves that control the following functions:
- Boom Up or Boom Down
- Stick In and Stick Out
- Grapple Open and Grapple Close
- Tool Group
The main control valve (four bank) also contains the pump backup relief valve.
