Start By:

  1. Remove the implement pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Implement Pump - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Remove the four allen head screws (2). Remove the compensator valve (1) from housing (3) .

  1. Remove allen head screws (4) and remove port block (5) from housing (3) .

  1. Remove O-ring (6). Remove plate (7) from port block (5) .

  1. Remove bearing (9) from shaft (8). Remove the two seals.

  1. Remove the shim for the bearing preload (10) from shaft (8) .

  1. Remove rotating group (11) from housing (3). Carefully retain the rotating assembly (11) in housing (3). Turn the rotating assembly upside-down. Slowly lift housing (3) off rotating group (11) .

  1. Remove the plate (12) that retains the pistons and the nine pistons (13) from barrel (14). Remove retaining ball (15) .

  1. Use Tooling (A) and a press in order to compress spring (17) until the snap ring (16) can be removed from barrel (14) with Tooling (B). Slowly release the pressure on the press because of the spring pressure. Remove barrel (14) from the press. Remove spring (17), retaining disc (18) and the three pressure pins (19) .

  1. Remove plug (20) .

  1. Remove piston (21) from housing (3) .

    Note: The rod is engaged in the socket by the edges of the socket. Extreme care must be used in order to disengage the rod from the socket. Remove the actuator rod out of the smooth shaped socket.

  1. Angle the swashplate (22) so the rod (23) extends out of the bore. Remove rod (23) from the socket in swashplate (22) .

  1. Remove swashplate (24) from housing (3). Check the condition of socket (25) .

  1. Remove spring (28) .

  1. Remove socket head screws (26) and remove bearings (27) .

  1. Lift shaft (29) out of the housing (3). If necessary, press bearing (30) off shaft (29).

  1. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove snap ring (31) from housing (3) .

  1. Remove seal (32) from housing (3) .
