Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
- Install spring (7), shims (6), and piston (5) into manifold (1).
- Install O-ring seal (4) onto filter bypass switch (3).
- Install filter bypass switch (3) into manifold (1). Tighten filter bypass switch (3) to a torque of
52.5 ± 5 N·m (38.7 ± 3.7 lb ft) . - Install plug (8) and the O-ring seal into manifold (1).

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the assembly procedure, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble.
End By:
- Install the hoist pump manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Manifold (Hoist) - Install".
