AP-1050B and BG-245C Asphalt Pavers Caterpillar


Leaving the Machine

Usage:

BG-245C 4XN

  • Use the steps and the handholds in order to dismount the machine. Face the machine in order to dismount the machine.

  • Inspect the engine compartment for debris. Clean any debris from the engine compartment in order to avoid a fire. Clean any paper from the engine compartment in order to avoid a fire.

  • If the machine is being parked for an extended period of time, for example overnight, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

    Note: If the screed is equipped with automatic controls for the burners, allow the blowers to stop turning before turning off the battery disconnect switch.

  • Extend the travel locks. Lower the screed onto the travel locks. If the travel locks are not used, place the screed on the ground.

  • Close all access covers and doors. Install vandalism protection locks.
