Air Cylinder Piston In The Cylinder Group May Malfunction

Problem:

External particles (water and dirt) may enter into the air cylinder of the cylinder group through the vent hole. This may cause corrosion of the aluminum housing and/or destroy the seals on the piston. This can cause the air cylinder piston to malfunction.

Given below is a list of valve groups that might be affected.

Solution:

A change is forth coming. In the interim the vent hole should be drilled to a diameter of 4.77 ± .125 mm (.188 ± .0050 in). The 6E-2943 Plug (1) should be installed as shown in illustration.
