NOTE: | This Containment Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer and service rep. Obtain the service reps Goodwill Approver Code before completing the repair. EAME dealers should use their standard Industry Group specific goodwill approval codes. The Goodwill Approver Code must be included when submitting the claim. |
NOTE: | When reporting the repair, use "PS61368" as the Part Number and "7777" as the Group Number. Use "96" as Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing 1066532/">106-6532 hub can wear on certain 785D Off-Highway Trucks resulting in high iron in the SOS and eventual tooth failure. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Monitor SOS for suspect hub wear. Typically wear does not cause early final drive removals but causes hubs to not be reusable. If wear becomes excessive, program can be applied After failure removing wheel assembly. Reference KENR83089 "785D Off-Highway Truck Power Train Disassembly and Assembly" for this work. During PCR please replace worn hubs with same part. For trucks MSY1-581, the new improved 1066532/">106-6532 Hub should be installed. Reference SEPD1652. |

After failure of a hub on a machine, a total of 64 hours can be claimed. 24 for component R&I and 40 for shop to disassembly and assemble final drive group. 2 claims per truck are allowed (1 for each final drive) If performed during PCR, no labor allowed. |
