--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Description of Change: The electronic speed sensor group component parts have been standardized to match component parts on machines not equipped with the electronic speed sensor group. Since, electronic speed sensor group is not serviced customers may recognize the serviceable level of electronic speed sensor group as a gear group attachment, traction control systems (TCS) or automatic electronic traction aid (AETA). Former wheel station assembly procedures for machines equipped with any variation of this electronic speed sensor group are no longer applicable because the factory installed rear axle shaft clamp will interfere with the standardized wheel station retainer. This change will decrease required component parts and will improve rear axle serviceability.
Adaptable To: Effective with 776D (5ER94) Tractors; 771D (6JR236), 775D (6KR297) Quarry Trucks; 769D (5TR837), 773D (7ER780), 777D (3PR787), 777D (2YW96) Off-Highway Trucks and is adaptable to all earlier models.
NOTE: To simplify procedure variations, machines not equipped with gear group attachment, traction control systems (TCS) or automatic electronic traction aid (AETA) should also use the following rear axle installation procedure.
NOTICE |
---|
Do not attempt to assemble wheel station using standard procedures
|
Prior to installing the wheel station assembly onto the machine, position each rear axle shaft into applicable wheel assembly. Axle shaft will only assemble and disassemble from the inside of wheel assembly. For assembly, push axle shaft through wheel assembly until shaft end is flush with inside of wheel assembly. Refer to illustration.
Typical view of wheel assembly and rear axle.
(A) Prior to wheel station assembly. Install rear axle through inside of wheel assembly and push through until axle shaft end is flush with side A.
