Description of Change: The 9R-6062 Basic Pad Group and the 135-2876 Basic Pad Group use a new, wider pad assembly, and a longer latch. The new 130-1642 Pad Assembly allows for more clearance between the pad and stabilizer pin. The longer latches match the wider pads.
There have been reports that while flipping the stabilizer pads there could be interference between the pad and the stabilizer pin. The interference between the pad and pin led some customers to believe that their pads have bent causing the interference.
Adaptable To: The new, wider design for 130-1642 Pad Assembly is a direct replacement for the former, narrower design. The new, wider latches supercede the former, narrower latches. Use the new, wider latches with the new, wider pad assembly. The table above shows the new latches and the former latches by group.
If your machine is equipped with 130-1640 Guards, use the 146-1590 and the 146-1589 latches. The wider pad design is effective in production with the following serial numbers.
