Flywheel Housing
Usage:
Make reference to FLYWHEEL HOUSING RUNOUT and FLYWHEEL HOUSING BORE for the correct methods of flywheel housing inspection.
NOTE: Install two bolt dampers each for bolts 11 and 13. Cut end of tabs must be installed away from bolt head.
Torque for bolts that hold the flywheel housing to the block:
a. Tighten bolts from 1 to 7 in number sequence to ... 100 ± 10 lb. ft.(135± 14 N·m)
b. Tighten bolts from 8 to 19 in number sequence to ... 40 ± 5 lb. ft.(55 ± 7 N·m)
c. Do steps (a) and (b) again.
NOTE: Cut the gasket between the flywheel housing and the block even with the bottom of the flywheel housing after assembly.
