Engine Front Support

Usage:

Remove Engine Front Support

1. Install a safe support for the front of the engine.

2. Remove the support mounting bolts.

3. Remove cap retaining bolts (1).

4. Remove support (2), the bushing, spacers, and shims.

Install Engine Front Support

1. Install bushing (2) in the support. Install cap (3) on the support with spacers (1). Tighten the cap bolts to 150 ± 20 lb.ft. (205 ± 25 N·m).

2. With the bushing in the correct position, measure diameter (X).

3. Measure the diameter of the trunnion hub.

4. Subtract the support diameter (X) from the trunnion diameter. Use this number as a guide for the thickness of the shims needed to provide a .002 in. (0.051 mm) loose to .003 in. (0.076 mm) tight fit between the trunnion and the support.

5. Install the support on the engine. Tighten the cap retaining bolts to 150 ± 20 lb.ft. (205 ± 25 N·m).

6. Install the support mounting bolts.
