Usage:
1. Raise the side of the machine with a 50 ton screw jack until the tire and rim to be removed are off the ground.
2. Remove all nuts (1) and washers except for two (180° apart) that hold the tire and rim in position.
3. Put a lift truck in position under the tire and rim as shown.
To prevent possible personal injury, be sure the tire and rim is securely fastened to the lift truck so it cannot fall. |
4. Fasten the tire and rim to the lift truck as shown. The weight of the tire and rim is 495 kg (1100 lb.).
5. Remove the remainder of nuts (1) and washers. Remove the tire and rim.
NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the tire and rim.
6. Put 2P2506 Thread Lubricant on the washer faces and the threads of nuts (1). Clean the threads of the studs and the mounting surfaces of paint, grease, or any other foreign material.
7. Put the tire and rim in position on the studs, and install washers and nuts (1). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 1210 ± 55 N·m (890 ± 41 lb.ft.).
8. Remove the lift truck, lower the machine to the ground, and remove the jack.
