August 2007 REMAN SHORT AND LONG BLOCKS FOR C7, C11, C13, & C15 ENGINES WITH ACERT? TECHNOLOGY Announcement The Remanufacturing Division announces the addition of the following Remanufactured short block and long block part numbers to complement the existing product offering for 2004-2006 On-Highway truck engine applications. Coverage The addition of these Reman short blocks and long blocks provide dealers with a lower cost repair option. The table below lists coverage by part number. Features and Benefits Cat? Remanufactured short and long blocks offer excellent value to customers. Customers who want fast repair turn-around, superior quality and reliability, and lower repair costs will benefit from the use of these Reman repair options. Using these Remanufactured short and long blocks will provide immediate, off-the-shelf availability at a fraction of the new price. All Cat Remanufactured short blocks come complete with cylinder packs and crankshaft installed in the block. All of the long blocks come with all the components of a short block with the addition of an assembled cylinder head, valve mechanisms, and camshaft. Core Acceptance Engines with the serial number prefix defined in the matrix are acceptable cores for these repair options.
