Instrument panel guards are available for most Caterpillar machines. The guards are made of fiberglass which has high resistance to impact. These guards prevent access to the instrument panel and switches, so the machine can not be easily started. Also, the guards fit over the gauges and instruments for protection from vandalism or other damage by accident.
