Description of Change: An improved shaft assembly is used in the cab heater group on 943 and 953 Loaders. The improved shaft assembly has a 6.35 mm (.250") diameter shaft and has more resistance to torque stresses.
The earlier shaft assembly was 4.5 mm (.177") in diameter and was too flexible. Reports show that the earlier shaft assembly did not permit smooth movement of the heater control valve in relation to the movement of the heater knob.
Adaptable As: The improved 9P6037 Shaft Assembly is a direct replacement for the earlier 9P6037 Shaft Assembly. The part number of the shaft assembly did not change. The improved 9P6037 Shaft Assembly is in effect with the serial numbers shown in the chart.
