Procedure For Installing Resistive Temperature Detector (RTD) {7566}

Usage:

3606 (8RB),
3608 (6MC),
3612 (9RC, 9FR),
3616 (1PD, 1FN) Engines

Use the following procedure when installing a 139-0521 Sensor (RTD) on these engines.

Illustration 1.

1. Trim the outer jacket of the cable to a maximum limit of 75 ± 2 mm (3.0 ± .1 in). See Dimension (X) in Illustration 1.

2. Use 2L-8075 (red insulated crimp type ring) Terminals (DO NOT MODIFY). See (A) in Illustration 1.

3. Insert cable (B) until the outer jacket contacts the terminal board. See (B) in Illustration 1.

Illustration 2.

4. Cut the RTD wires to a maximum limit of 48 ± 2 mm (1.9 ± .1 in). See Dimension (Y) in Illustration 2.

5. Use 2L-8075 (red insulated crimp type ring) Terminals (DO NOT MODIFY). See (C) in Illustration 2.

Black Wire (D). White Wire (E). Red Wire (F).

6. Put 9F-3263 Thread Lock on the terminal screws (D,E,F) and insulator screws (J). See Illustration 3.

7. Attach red striped RTD wire with black wire (D). See Illustration 3. Apply teflon tape to threads (G).
