CAT REMAN ANNOUNCES REMAN DUO-CONE
TM SEAL GROUPS
Reman Duo Cone Seal Group Introduction
Cat Reman is introducing a new product option to help keep rebuild costs down. The addition of Duo-ConeTM Seal Groups to the existing piece part product line provides another option to help dealers control their rebuild costs. Like all Reman products, these Duo-Cone Seal Groups are remanufactured to new specifications. The rubber toric rings are all replaced with new. Where the flange thicknesses allow, the seal faces are lapped to bring them back to the specified ramp angle. Where the salvaged parts cannot meet new part specifications, they are replaced with new. Refer to the table below to see which Reman Duo-Cone Seals are now available as well as the kind of machines they are utilized on.
Caterpillar began using Reman Duo-Cone Seals in certain Reman Final Drives in 2003 with no decline in product reliability. Now, to give our dealers another option to lower rebuild costs, we are making these available to support dealer exchange programs. The Reman components assist dealers with cost-effective repair options that meet customers? demand for quick repair turnaround. Additional product offerings are under development and will be announced soon. Please consult the Cat NPR in SISWEB (https://sis.cat.com) or the Cross Reference link on the Reman Dealer Extranet1 for product coverage and cross-reference.
