Usage:
NOTE: Removal and installation of the turbocharger can be performed with the engine in chassis. Access can be made through the opening in the top of the operators platform. In the procedure which follows, the engine was removed from chassis for better photo illustration of the turbocharger.
1. Loosen the clamp, and disconnect air line (5) from the turbocharger.
2. Loosen the two clamps, and disconnect air line (1) from the turbocharger.
3. Loosen the clamp, and disconnect exhaust pipe (4) from the turbocharger.
4. Remove the two bolts, and disconnect oil supply tube (2) from the turbocharger.
5. Remove the two bolts, and disconnect oil drain tube (6) from the turbocharger.
6. Remove four nuts (3) and the washers that hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold. Remove turbocharger (7).
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the turbocharger.
7. Check the condition of all gaskets used for installing the turbocharger. If the gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
8. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the mounting studs for the turbocharger.
9. Install the turbocharger in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the nuts that hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold to a torque of 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).
