Battery - Remove and Install

Usage:

Installation Procedure

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  2. Remove door panel assembly (1).

  3. Remove two bolts (4), the washers, and two clips (3). Reposition terminal cover (2), disconnect cable assembly (9), and position out of the way.

  4. Reposition terminal covers (5) and (10). Remove cable assembly (11).

  5. Remove bolt (7), the washer, and clip (8). Reposition terminal cover (6), disconnect cable assembly (12), and position out of the way.

  6. Remove two nuts (14), the washers, and hold-down assembly (13).

  7. Use two people to remove battery (15). The weight of battery (15) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).

  8. Remove three bolts (17), the washers, and bar assembly (16).

  9. Use two people to remove battery (18). The weight of battery (15) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install batteries (15) and (18) in the reverse order of removal.
